It is very concerning to us that the proposed Bill of Rights that was sought to be introduced to Australia via an Act of Government in 1985 saw fit to exclude Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states:

(1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
(2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property. 

Pseudo "Rights" which float around continue to ignore this important Right, either by silence, or by allowing Government the ability to negate such a Right by regulation or so called "emergency".

What is a Bill of Rights?

Probably the most famous Bill of Rights is the American version. The Bill of Rights is the name by which the first ten amendments of the United States Constitution are known. They were introduced by James Madison to the First United States Congress in 1789 and came into effect on December 15th 1791. In the US the Bill of Rights exists because the anti-Federalists were strongly opposed to the Constitution as they feared the President could quickly become a king ruling over a disenfranchised people.
